"Reiki is love,
Love is wholeness,
Wholeness is balance,
Balance is well-being,
Well-being is freedom from disease."
- Dr. Mikao Usui
Reiki (pronounced "RayKey") is a combination of two Japanese words meaning, "God's wisdom or the Higher Power" (Rei) and "life force energy" (Ki).
It is a form of energy healing that is channeled through an individual that has been trained and attuned to this healing modality. It is a "laying on of hands" approach to healing, but can also be sent to individuals through what is known as distant Reiki.
It is a modality that can be used alongside Western medicine as a complementary therapy, or it can oftentimes be an alternative therapy.
Compared to another well-known healing modality, massage therapy, there is no tissue manipulation. The Reiki practitioner simply places his/her hands at locations around the client's head, shoulders, arms, abdomen, legs, and feet, slightly away from the client's body or lightly touching.
Reiki energy then flows from the practitioner's hands into the client's body and energy field, providing a warm, peaceful, glowing energy of well-being and ease.
Energy healing is a heart-centered, integrative practice that nurtures harmony across mind, body, and spirit. By gently releasing stored stress and energetic imbalances, it allows the nervous system to soften, helping you reconnect with your natural state of peace and clarity. This subtle yet powerful approach supports the body’s innate healing intelligence, deepens your ability to focus, and opens the door to emotional and physical renewal. Whether you’re seeking restoration, grounding, or a deeper spiritual connection, energy healing offers a safe and sacred space for transformation and well-being.
